3/4 Day Local

Our local 3/4 Day fishing San Diego private charter will have you fishing in the best spots along our beautiful coasts here in San Diego. It’s tough to beat the amazing views you will have while you fish our favorite honey holes. We will check out kelp forests, kelp patties, sandbars, and underwater structures such as wrecks. The deep sea fishing options are endless in our gorgeous waters.

There are a ton of variety of fish that we catch on our 3/4 day trips that include: Rockfish, Halibut, Sand Bass, Vermillion Reds, Mackerel, Yellowtail, Lingcod, Dorado, White Fish, and many more. It’s always fun to see what we reel up.

3/4 Day OFfshore/
Coronado Islands

Our 3/4 Day Coronado Islands or Offshore fishing trips allow us more time to explore more of the ocean for bigger fish. We have the option of heading down to the Coronado Islands in Mexican waters or to head out Offshore. Deep sea fishing is an adventure and these trips are designed to search for schools of Yellowtail, Yellowfin Tuna,  Bluefin Tuna, and we never really know what we will find. That’s why they call it fishing.

The boat rides are a bit longer, and one stop on a good kelp patty or a ball of bait fish could truly make our day. We promise we will do everything in our power to get you on the fish.

What to bring

How to get ready for the best 3/4 day fishing San Diego has to offer. We recommend bringing plenty of sunscreen as it can get quite sunny out on the water even on cloudy days.  A hat and sunglasses are always a good idea. The boat rides early in the day and later in the afternoon can  can call for a sweatshirt or jacket is clutch. We suggest wearing shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. A small hand towel, trust us, these come in real handy. And please be sure everyone has a face mask.

We have the best fishing gear available on the market, but you are welcome to bring your own gear if you would like to as well.  Just please let us know ahead of time if you are bringing your own gear.

We provide an ice chest on the boat for your drinks, and anything else you would like to keep cold. It is a good idea to bring your own cooler or ice chest and leave it in your car for your fish upon our return.

On our 3/4 Day fishing trips, we strongly suggest that you bring your own lunch and some extra snacks. You will want to keep your energy up to catch all your fish throughout the day!

California Sport Fishing License

On San Diego Fishing Charters all anglers 16 years or older are required to have a valid form of ID (Driver’s License, Military ID, or Passport) and a California sport fishing license for the day they are fishing. Luckily they are super easy to get for your fishing adventure with us. There are two options:

1. You can get one online here:
Login as a guest, go to “purchase license,” then “Sport Fishing 1 Day License (res/nonres).
Please be sure to: set it for the specific date we are going fishing, print it out and sign it.

2. You can get one at the day of your fishing trip on location at the docks.

We recommend that you go with option #1 as it will save us time on the day of our fishing trip so we can get out of the docks and out to the sport fishing grounds faster.

Mexican Fishing License

On our 3/4 Day and Full Day fishing trips, you have an option of going to the Coronado Islands, which are in Mexican waters. If we decide to go to the Islands, each person on the boat (whether they are fishing or not) is required to have three permits: 1. California Fishing License 2. A Mexican Fishing License and 3. A FMM Visa. Both of these are not included in the price of the charter.

1. California Fishing License can be purchased online here.

2. Mexican Fishing License can be purchased online here.

3. FMM Visa is a one day visa allowing you to visit Mexico and fish at the Coronado Islands. The price is currently $30 per person, this is an additional cost. We will purchase and fill out the required paperwork for you and your charter guests for these visas.

A valid Passport is required for all passengers on the boat if we are going into Mexican waters.
